Memories of Aunty Jean

Created by Sandra 6 years ago

The things I remember most is the many, many school holidays I spent with Aunty Jean and Uncle Derek (and Paul) in Westville during my teenage years.

Aunty's Jean's home was always open to me, family and all of Paul's friends.

I'll remember Aunty Jean's wonderful sense of humour and "can do" attitude to all things in life. From her early days as a highly successful World Champ in hairdressing and opening several salons in the UK to her learning to play bridge and bowls later in life. She was always up for the challenge - an admirable quality. Even jumping on planes and flying all over the world in her 80s!

I'll also remember the wonderful marriage she and Uncle Derek had - such love and devotion over so many decades - an great example of what a marriage should be.

Love to Paul, Trace, Ken and Suloch at this sad time. Hope you can find strength and comfort from the many years of wonderful memories.

With Love Sandy, Kye & Jarrah
